I started eating right and an exercise program in September of 2007. I have since lost 50 lbs, but I have been stuck for about a month now. I am trying to eat more to make sure I hit at least 1,200 calories. And I am trying differant things at the gym. I work out with a personel trainer once a week, body pump once a week, kickboxing 2-3 times a week, step and cardio hip hop. I haven't been doing the eliptical as much as I use to but I am involved in more classes. My trainer has suggested running on the treadmill as well. I am turning 30 next week and I really want to start it off right. Any suggestions on how to jump start my weight loss again? I have 50-40 lbs to go.

Keep in mind that when you work out you increase your muscle and lose your fat. Since muscle weighs more than fat does you could still be losing weight and just gaining muscle. What is more important than the scale is how your clothes fit and how you feel. Congratulations on the 50 pounds Smile

Try changing what you eat and what times you eat. This can sometimes work to get you through a plateau.

To start off, CONGRATULATIONS!!Your doing great! All I can say is start eating lots of fiber (progressively add some to your diet). That should help you poop the food you eat all out.Try weight training. Calisthenics are a sure bet. If you want strength as well weight training is the way to go. High incline speed walking and jogging takes pounds off fast.Switch things up about once or twice a month.Try ALLI or Weight Watchers if all else fails.I hope you reach your goal!Happy 30th.

try zig-zaging your zaloric intake. insted of a 1200 cal deficit, go back to a 500 cal deficit one and work your way back down by 100 calories each week. your metab has prob adjusted to run off what your eating now. you have to speed it back up to keep loosing at the same rate. also maybe take a week off from training. thats what im about to do here. hope this helps, thats what would do to start off with, if that dont work i would prob look at my diet more like how evenly spaced my 6 meals are and making sure im not eating too many carbs before bed and what not, just check over everything. make sure your getting 8 hours of sleep each night. switch up exercises.

This will sound crazy but it works. Your body is conditioned and used to what you have done to it. A good way to get it kick started again is to trick it. So if you are dieting and eating healthy your body is probably storing all that it can. So go treat yourself to something real nasty like chocolate ice cream and enchiladas. A good 3 to 5 thousand calorie day. Granted you will gain a pound or two at 1st, but your body will freak out and begin to purge. Then resume your diet, this will be good for 10 to 15 pounds before your body figures out what you did. This is not something you do every other day or even once a week. I do it about once a month. So far I have lost 45 pounds.

Looking for a healthy weight loss program? Of course you are! Millions of people in the United States alone are looking for a healthy weight loss program to help them lose unwanted fat and get much better looking bodies in the meantime. But how do you separate the amazing programs from the "not so amazing" (to put it lightly) programs that are out today? In my opinion the best place to do that is to ask someone who knows a lot about health. That person should practice healthy livingweight loss programs are hard to find, unless you know the right places to look. Fortunately for you, I've given some tips for you and pointed out the best product that help you loss weight. I hope this helps.. I am sure you will be losing your weight soon.

Congratulations on the progress!! SmileI agree 100% with Numb ~ Everytime I hit a plateau, I go treat myself at a restaraunt - anything I've been craving, and that usually shocks my body back into submission! Maybe even a couple of days of cheating...then right back in the grind the following day.One thing you could try (I'm not sure of your current meal plan) is doing a carb-free diet for several weeks; or if you are already doing that, then switch to simple healthy meals. (Ex: Chicken breast, broccoli, sweet potato, low-fat bread, and so on). Main Idea being to switch the ENTIRE food consumption to see if this changes things for you! They say the longer it takes you to take the weight off ~ the more likely you'll be to KEEP it off! And certainly running on the treadmill will give you results, but if you are not physically able to, or if this just puts too much stress on your body - don't do it! You are exercising, and that is what matters. Walking 15-20 mins. daily can also do wonders!Good Luck and keep up the great work!
